Urgent opening for Procurement Manager with one of our client for Africa location:
Role: Procurement Manager
CTC: Open for discussion
Location: Africa (Uganda and Kenya)
Interview Date: 15th July at Bangalore
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate with Engineering or Science back round
- Minimum 10 to 15 years experience in Procurement / Purchase any Manufacturing or Construction company.
- Solid track record of success in previous assignments demonstrating upward career tracking.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be dependable, reliable, motivated and good team player.
Key Result Area and Roles & ; Responsibilities:
- Sending orders / Enquiries to suppliers / Vendors for getting quotations. Compare the quotations as per our LPO with regards to quantity, quality and prices. Negotiate and finalize the quotations, discuss with Dept Head and final approval from Director.
- Following up the Suppliers as per delivery schedule. Verifying the billing / Invoices as per the Purchase Orders. To clear the payment to suppliers as per payment terms.
- Direct or coordinate of purchasing, warehousing, distribution, or financial forecasting services or activities to limit costs and improve accuracy in terms of delivery, safety. Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs. Direct the movement, storage, or processing of inventory.
- Track of materials according to minimum stock and requirement with planning department, checking, and dispatch documents from the vendors for operational excellence.
- Directed effective generation and analysis of critical imported items from the material planning system and liaised with suppliers on daily basis for shipments.
- Supply chain planner to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of material or products.
- Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
- Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste or optimize customer service.
- Develop organizational goals or objectives
- Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors or freight forwards.
- Implement new or improved supply chain processes.
- Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
- Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, or receiving.
- Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.
- Document organizational or operational procedures.
- Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials.
- Estimate cost or material requirements.
- Fleet Mangement including route planning, operational and logistics Management.
- Establishing and conduct procedures of actual physical count and reconciliation.
